Overview

The Marketing Executive will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high‑impact, customer‑focused marketing activity across our national consumer channels.

This role sits at the heart of the Consumer Marketing team, helping to bring campaigns to life through strong coordination, meticulous attention to detail, and confident communication with both internal teams and external partners.

It’s a hands‑on, varied role that blends campaign operations, artwork updates, and cross‑team communication — perfect for someone who is organised, proactive, and eager to build their marketing skills in a fast‑paced environment.

Who we are

apetito is the UK’s leading food supplier to the health and social care sectors serving more than 1,300 care homes, health care and education settings.

Our meals are expertly crafted by our dieticians and chefs, and then frozen to lock in the goodness.

Wiltshire Farm Foods, our sister company, is the UK’s largest ready meal supplier cooking and delivering over 330 different delicious frozen ready meals across the UK.

Responsibilities

Consumer Marketing Campaign Support

Work closely with the Consumer Marketing team to help deliver campaigns that drive customer acquisition, retention and reactivation. You will support the full campaign lifecycle, from briefing to deployment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with our national press activity – preparing and supplying assets to publishers and supporting creative testing, gaining insight into what drives results at a national level.
  • Helping coordinate end-to-end delivery of large scale Cold Direct Mail campaigns and learn how targeting, creative and format choices impact response rates.
  • Support in rolling out a national Recommend a Friend programme (currently in trial) to optimise it as a national acquisition channel.
  • Co-ordinating with printers, suppliers and media partners to keep campaigns on schedule and to spec.
  • Managing day-to-day operations including raising purchase orders, tracking budgets and campaign recharges to depots.
  • Proofreading campaign materials to ensure they meet brand, quality and accuracy standards.

This part of the role is ideal for someone who loves detail, enjoys keeping projects moving, and wants to be closely involved in how real‑world marketing campaigns are delivered, measured and improved.

Marketing Artwork & Creative Support

You’ll support the wider Marketing team with template‑based artwork updates and quick creative amends that help ensure our campaigns can go live on time.

Responsibilities include:

  • Making basic edits to pre‑designed artwork (e.g. updating copy, resizing, swapping imagery)
  • Supporting quick turnaround requests, such as localised depot materials
  • Ensuring accuracy and brand consistency across all creative outputs
  • Working closely with the Creative team when more complex design support is required

Though previous artwork experience is desirable, it is not essential - full training can be provided. You’ll gain practical creative production skills that are highly valuable in modern marketing teams.

Managing Communications to Depots

With over 60 depots nationwide, clear communication is essential. You will help ensure teams have everything they need to execute campaigns effectively.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and updating the marketing areas of the intranet (currently undergoing redevelopment)
  • Ensuring all campaign information, guidance and documentation is accurate, accessible and up to date
  • Supporting the build and upload of marketing toolkits, assets and communications
  • Acting as a first point of contact for depot teams seeking marketing clarity or support

This work is vital to ensuring campaigns land consistently and successfully at a local level.
